It’s so easy this time of year to get completely caught up in getting ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas that you can miss some of the awesomeness of fall. After reading a few posts in other places I thought I’d give you some ideas on what you can do to enjoy fall at your house.
- If the leaves aren’t all gone, collect some for art projects or just rake them up and jump in them.
- Enjoy breaking out the flannel shirts, sweaters and jeans (I’m from Texas so these just came out recently).
- Make some fabric leaves (download pattern automatically).
- Make paper pumpkin ornaments (which look like a good shape for Christmas ornaments too).
- Cook up some pumpkin pasta with the last of the giant orange squash.
- Make some paper turkeys for you Thanksgiving table.
- Make a Japanese Mikoshi and learn about the Japanese Festival tradition.
- Use felt to make some leaves for your little one to play with.
- Have a nature table in your home or wonderful fall finds.
