Easy Diaper Covers

Filed under:

wool diaper coverIf you’re using some type of non-disposable diapers and need some diaper covers, you can make some very simply from a felted wool sweater.

Babies and toddlers have a tendency to grow really fast at times, making it challenging to keep them in clothes, much less things like diaper covers. Making your own can make things much more simple though, as once you have the hang of it, you can crank out a few whenever the old ones get too small.

The instructions are really simple, involving measuring the kiddo, drawing an equilateral triangle on the felted sweater, cutting it out and sewing up two seams. Even if you aren’t handy with a sewing machine it should be pretty simple.

If you are handy with a sewing machine or want to up the cute factor you can sew on some appliques, add elastic or some frilly rows of lace on the back side. And since you have the sweater handy, you can use the felted sleeves for some homemade baby leg warmers.
